Colorimetrix offers a unique, low-cost, accurate method of reading “colorimetric tests” using a mobile phone. Colorimetric tests are used across a wide variety of applications such as pregnancy tests, urine monitoring, and an enormous amount of other medical applications, water quality testing, agricultural applications and even to establish the quality of deep fat frying oil. Millions of these tests are produced globally and the readout technology remains inconvenient. Normally, reading these tests is either done by eye (which is highly inaccurate and leads to inconsistency) or in the lab (which is slow and costly). With our technology, the reading can be done with the camera of a mobile phone. Depending on the type of test and reagent its accuracy is equivalent to printed colorimetric charts, within 20% of the laboratory reference but without human error subjectivity.
